This is a super weird project for me but its great practice. Im actually really happy with the way the pages are turning out so I cant complain.

Barn Commission

Drawings done for my good friend Kathleen. Her family farm is gone and she wanted a couple of drawings showing the barn as she remembers it and the now vacant lot where it used to be.

William King and his son James. These two may hold the key to mankind's survival. Whoa.

My latest nightmare

Oh lord thats a lot of details. This is another image specifically for the kickstarter video for the Merciful. We'll start zoomed in on one of the patients and pull back to reveal the scale of the epidemic.

Might add a little more detail (what?!?) but it will serve its purpose as is.

Couldnt sleep last night and this is what crawled out of my head.

Nothing major, but adds a little more atmosphere.

Process

So this is how I work.

I didnt include the pencil sketch but it looks much like the first image here. I work out my perspective and block in the buildings to make sure the structure is working and the composition looks cool.

Then I come back in and punch a couple holes in the buildings  and add the mangled messy bits.

And finally the colors. I might add a photo of a real sky to punch up the drama in the back ground.

Couple designs for cards or even posters to promote the book. Also make for cool t shirts.
