Life drawing
These drawing are gesture drawings, all done in a minute or less from a live model. The idea is to try and draw the movement, action, energy, or 'gesture' of the pose, not the anatomical specifics of the body. We start every class with at least 25 of these so Ive literally got hundreds of these in my closet and Ive finally got some photos of them. Ive been trying to get the tones to work in Photostudio, but its matter of the shadow from the lighting. So for now, they are what they are. Ive flipped some of them to a negative cuz i think it helps make some of the lines jump a bit better. There done using a conte stick which can give some really nice lines.

Hellboy done for fun and design class.
Doc Ock done for a weekly character contest with some of my nerdy colleagues. I really like his ray gun. Tried to keep it to the goof ball villain as opposed to the serious movie version.
The pic of colossus i did the first week of school. Water color and ink for color.
Really like this dwarf sketch, swear im gonna do another, finished version.
I dont know what to say about the spider-man daredevil gag. Just came to me one night and i thought i draw it.
I suppose i should start putting these up in some sort of order but for now im gonna just keep putting them up as i get to it. Ive got lots of old work that i want to get up just cuz ive got it. At some point theyll start to go up as i finish them, but until then theyre a mish mash of old and new.
An old spider man, Todd MacFarlane style. A quick sketch of a Luis Royo babe tweaked in Photoshop. The ogre and warrior girl is a design and composition class project using a bridge to bring to two characters together. And of course, mega man knee deep in lasers.

More stuff..
So these are a couple of oil paintings i did for my representational painting class. The first is a cool/warm temperature study, and the other is a black and white tonal painting of a candle. Not bad for the first couple of paintings ive ever done.
The angel one is old, but i really like it so i figured id toss it out there.
Pencil sketch I did over xmas from a photograph of me and my gal Suzanne.
